What's cooking this week?

Morning!!!! Back to the usual Sunday routine. Guys, I'm beat! There's a lot I'd like to accomplish today, but I'm not sure I have it in me. Ella hasn't been herself since coming home from NY. She's been EXTREMELY fussy (don't be fooled by that smiley picture) and spitting up A LOT! I keep running through the possible culprits in my head... maybe she is coming down with something, maybe it's just teething, maybe it's a growth spurt, maybe I should go back to dairy-free, maybe we shouldn't be weaning her off of her reflux medication?!?!

We've been carrying on after being home a few days. On Friday we went shopping, and yesterday we went to visit with friends. She is cranky when we're home and cranky when we're out. It's not totally constant but it's more often than not. Poor kid, something has to be ailing her. Due to all the spitting up I'm starting to think she shouldn't be coming off of the reflux meds just yet. We've been weaning her off for about two weeks now and she seemed fine until last Monday. I didn't think much of it at first because she does tend to have some days where she spits up more than usual. I'll definitely be having a chat with the Pediatrician. Has anyone ever experienced this issue?!

There's no easy way to transition from talking about spit-up to the menu for the week....so I'm just going to go right into it....
Tonight: Sunday Sauce
Monday: Caramelized Onion and Fennel Pizza
Tuesday: Mushroom Jack Tacos
Wednesday: Easy Ranch Chicken and Rice
Thursday: Crock-Pot Tomato Basil Soup and steak for Hubs

How is Spring Break is coming to an end already? Despite this rough patch, it's been incredible spending all of this extra time with my sweet little girl! Tomorrow will be a shock to my system I'm sure. There's a lot on my agenda for today - cleaning and organizing Ella's room (again), and making lots of baby food (sweet potatoes, apples, plums, green beans, chicken and turkey) all while dinner simmers away! I've been looking forward to breaking in my new Magimix food processor! We'll see how much of this I actually accomplish because my priority is snuggles and Disney movies!

Baby Girl is taking a little snooze in her glider, I'm starting to think maybe I should nap too. I'll get to the rest later! HA! Happy Sunday!

  1. I bet it is the reflux medicine. I might put her back on it if I were you and then try again in a month or so. I know Sydney grew out of it at around 6 months old, but every kid is different.
