36 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

Baby Girl is the size of a chihuahua...or a cabbage patch doll!
Whoa, she's getting big, I promise....this pic seems to be a bit deceiving. I don't know if it's the angle, or the black shirt but I'm glad I snapped this one a few days prior. Now, this is a little more realistic!
At my appointment on Wednesday, I found out that I'm two centimeters dilated already! I'm not surprised because I've been feeling all kinds of pressure lately. She feels very low and it doesn't particularly feel very good! The news doesn't excite me too much because I know there's really no way to know if this means she's coming early or not. I'd like her to cook a little longer despite the fact that I'm very OVER being pregnant. Regardless, I'm trying reallyyyyyy hard not to rush whatever time I have left and enjoy our last days of being a family of three. My next appointment is on Tuesday, so we'll see if I'm progressing any more. I'm trying not to put too much stock into it though.
As you can tell, I've been taking more photos of the bump these days. I never know which bumpdate is going to be my last. I had to take this one of my shiny coconut oiled belly the other day! Just weighed myself...I've gained exactly 30 pounds so far (same as 36 weeks with Ella). I'm super bloated and noticing that I'm seriously retaining water. I've been vigilant in making sure I'm drinking lots of water. There's nothing worse than waking up with cramps in my ankles and calves. The goal is to avoid that altogether! Speaking of waking up...I wake up anywhere from 4-6 times per night. Getting up to go potty is not as big of an issue for me as the actual act of getting up out of bed. It takes a lot of effort. Looking forward to having a core that works again!

Two more weeks left of work! It has been intense, I'll just leave it at that! I'm planning to stop working about a week before my due date (I'm about 90% sure of this, may extend it if I'm feeling fabulous). It would be nice to have a little time home to prepare for Lil Sis. Her room is coming along, it's starting to look like a newborn is going to be living here soon! Hubs, Ella and I are getting very excited!

35 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

THIRTY FIVE weeks! People keep telling me I look small, but I sure feel GIANT this week! Baby Girl is the size of a bunch of carrots, which is a weak comparison. I looked up alternatives and decided that a pineapple is way more fun to say!
I'm not sure how much weight I've gained, it's not like I weigh myself often....and I just ate a donut so it will have to wait until next week! I'd be willing to bet it's at least two more pounds since I last checked a week ago. My belly is rounding out a lot more and baby is starting to drop! The pressure on my pelvis is getting intense, but not enough to alleviate the squishing of my lungs. I feel full all the time, even when I'm hungry. Does that make sense? It doesn't to me either, but it's the only way to describe it!

Here's another thing that makes no sense. Even though I'm waking up anywhere between 4 and 7 times during the night to pee....I'm still sleeping well. I'm as comfortable as I can be at this stage and falling back to sleep is never a problem. That's probably because I'm exhausted and working like a dog. Everyone keeps telling me to "take it easy" but there is sooooo much to be done at the beginning of the school year it's impossible to do any such thing. I'm nesting....at work. Somehow I need to really make a switch and nest at home because it is time! I swear I'll have that hospital bag packed tomorrow for real. I've been talking about it for weeks now!

My girl is moving around so much in there but instead of being quick, fluid kicks and jabs, it's more like slow stretching and rolling around. It's so weird, and feels like she's bruising me in a few spots. She's such a strong little lady!

My work wardrobe is limited, even my maternity clothes are getting tight and uncomfortable. My khaki capris are not long for this world. I may wear them one more time but with a long shirt, juuuuust in case. It looks like the seam is about to give. I have a pair in blue and black, so now I'm scared! I have about 3(ish) weeks left of work, so it's going to have to stretch...literally!

Thursday was the first day of school. I wore the same dress as I did on the first day of school when I was pregnant with Ella. Remember, I'm on the exact same track as I was since my due dates are only 1 day apart. Look how much smaller that belly looked 3 years ago!
I'm thinking Sko Dos is going to be at least a 7 pounder (Ella was 5 lbs. 13 oz.)! Calling it now! Three days ago I said at least 6...as the days go by, my "guesstimates" are increasing! Here's a (ridiculous) pic I took about an hour ago, before the donut. Tomorrow is 36 weeks, that's nuts! Less than a month until my due date...it's almost time to meet Sissy!

34 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

I'm so late posting this! My app has already switched to 35 weeks so I don't even know how big Baby Girl is. I think it was some type of cabbage...or maybe also a baguette?! Oh well, let me dramatically fill you in on my 34th week....
I gained another pound. That means I've gained 27 pounds so far. My biggest challenge has been staying hydrated. Work has been ridiculously busy and I just can't get enough water in no matter how hard I try. It's a priority I swear, I'm somehow falling short because my braxton hicks have been in full swing, not to mention all the charlie horses and cramps I wake up with every night and morning.

Nowwww, let's get the complaints out there. I'm exhausted. Everything hurts. It's official...I'm to "that" point. I'm ready to not be pregnant anymore. Just. So. Done. And the heat! OMG, my office is a sauna! That's not the hormones (although I'm sure everyone thinks I'm the crazy overheated pregnant lady)...it's downright HOT!

No matter what though, I'm SO excited about work! There's nothing like the fresh start of a brand new school year, it's one of my favorite parts about being a school counselor. The goal is to put on my happy face and crank these next few weeks out! Students start on Thursday and the 16/17 year is already off to a great start! Despite the excitement, I'm thinking right now isn't the best time to be writing this. I practically worked all weekend long and I'm drained both physically and mentally.  You're just catching me at a bad time. Honestly I feel decent when I wake up in the morning and I'm able to power through most of the day, but as soon as late afternoon rolls around, it's like I turn into another person. I try to get as much relaxation in as possible when I'm home. I'm really looking forward to being able to get down on the floor and actually PLAY with Ella. Poor girl probably thinks Mommy is such a lazy bum!

I have some simple meals planned for the upcoming week. I'm not sure I'll even be around much to cook so at least there's not much to think about. I haven't done a "what's cooking" post in a bit...but the plan is to clear out my freezer (grilling up meat and pairing with simple veggies...a taco salad one night...finishing some leftover sauce....nothing fancy). I want to make room for some meals for when baby gets here. When Ella was born, I stockpiled the freezer with things like turkey chili, and chicken fajitas. Maybe I'll check out some of those ready to go freezer crock pot meals I pinned ages ago. If anyone has any favorites, let me know! Right now I'm "nesting" but it's translating to my office. Switching gears to nesting at home! I should probably pack that hospital bag. I've only been talking about it for the last month!

We took some maternity photos last week with our friend Bobby. Although I didn't feel like doing a fancy formal photo shoot, it was important that I had some photos to remember this pregnancy by! It is so darn hot and humid out, it had to be quick! For being such a last minute and casual thing....I'm LOVING how these photos came out! Here are a few...

33 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

Hauling this thirty three week girly around sure is getting exhausting! She's the size of a cauliflower blossom or a ferret! Here's a quick update...
Somehow I'm still at 26 pounds gained, which is bizarre because I feel like I'm growing by the second! I don't really "crave" specific things, but I have had a bit of a sweet tooth which I've been satisfying with lots and lots of fruit! We've gone through a watermelon, cantaloupe and a pineapple this past week. There's a tiny bit left, but not much...I'll probably kill the rest of it as soon as I'm done posting. I've also been enjoying lots of berries and my morning shakes! YUM!
Breakfast!
I've been trying my best to get some kind of a workout in a few times a week, this is not easy because by the end of the day I'm just SO done! The only shred of motivation I have left in the evening is thanks to my challenge group...honestly without those ladies pushing me I doubt I'd be unrolling that yoga mat or picking up a weight. Even though I'm rocking a bit of the flappy arm, I've noticed my arms have definitely toned up over the past few weeks. It's my own version of toned, but I'm proud!
I spend a good portion of my workouts trapped in what I call the "upside down turtle".
I read my 33 week bumpdate with Ella, and it is just so spot on! I don't usually read them before writing these updates but wow if you want to know basically exactly how I feel about trying to be a normal functioning working adult WHILST being pregnant....read it! Throw in being a mom to an almost three year old and...well, I need more naps built in to my day! I'm going to go eat some melon and struggle to stay awake to watch another episode of Game of Thrones. We have a busy day tomorrow! Wish us luck as we attempt to take a few maternity photos in this ridiculous heat!

*Fun fact....I wore the green tank top I'm wearing in the Ella bumpdate post to bed last night. My belly sticks out the bottom. It has obviously shrunk in the wash. Yeaaaa, let's go with that.

32 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

Another week down and Baby Girl is the size of a Florida Pomelo. Should I know what this is, or am I a terrible Floridian? At my appointment on Monday, they told me she is 3 pounds 5 ounces!
I'm getting bigger, and although I CAN reach my toes (if I try really hard and contort myself in weird ways), I just avoid it when possible. Mom and I went to get mani/pedis the other day and I'm glad I finally broke down. On my time hop it popped up that this was basically the exact time I gave up with Ella so "yay" for making it just as far! Look at this view, I took this photo of my lap in the car the other day.
I've gained 26 pounds this pregnancy, which is basically where I'd like to be at this point. My challenge group started this week and I'm feeling really good! It's so nice to have the extra incentive and motivation because more than usual, it's tempting to eat junk and lay around. It's hard to lay around when you have a child as active as Ella, and as far as junk there really isn't much in my house but you find ways. I'm definitely finishing this pregnancy out on track though!

I've traded in some of my now "too tight" tank tops for long flowy tanks. The majority of them aren't maternity, just whatever I've dug up from Marshall's and TJ Maxx. I hope to be able to live in them from now on, a few are work appropriate. OMG, I go back to work on Monday! Eeeeek! I'm going to channel all the energy I can over these upcoming weeks. Starting a school year while pregnant is not ideal, but I've done it once before with all of the Middle School scheduling chaos at my last job, surely I can do it again!!!! I'm as mentally prepared as I can be!
This is what my plan is for the next 7ish weeks (I'm really 33 weeks right now)! It is JUST. SO. HOT!
These past two days have been super busy. Stephen took Thursday and Friday off of work so we could do some fun family things. We went to Sky Zone, to see Finding Dory (Ella's first movie), and to the Orlando Science Center. I've been on my feet a lot but I'll be taking it REAL easy this weekend. Family is in town to visit my parent's new house and I'll be lounging around whenever possible. Also, I'll be getting a lot of pool time in. I have probably not been in the pool as much in the past year as I have been in the past week. Ella is learning how to swim a little bit with her puddle jumper and we are able to stay in the pool much longer than we used to. With the craziness of the move, I didn't get her into swim lessons this summer like I originally wanted to, but we'll get there! Swimming has been awesome exercise though, and really helps with my circulation. The veins are in full force!

Here's a peek of Sko Dos's little face. I can't wait to kiss those lips!

31 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

See this look on my face....
That's the face I make several times a day now when I come to the realization that this baby is coming SOON! There may still be two months to go (I'm actually closer to 32 weeks as I type this), but it's going to go FAST! That's IF she waits until the actual due date (9/5)...which would surprise me since it seems she wants to bust out of my belly ASAP. Who knows. If she's stubborn like Big Sis, she could very well hang out a while in there. Either way, I'm not ready yet! Although I do look (and feel) like I'm closer to 40 weeks than 30 (especially in this pic)!

I'm ditching the categories on these bumpdates since they are now getting majorly repetitive. This week I've been feeling like I've got energy during the day but crashing hard at night. The Braxton Hicks contractions have been occurring more frequently, and I'm starting up again with the round ligament pains. How much bigger can I get? According to my scale I've only gained 25 pounds which surprises me because I feel so much bigger this time around! My belly button is about to pop. When I lay down on my side it actually does poke out a little bit. Not sure why but that seriously freaks me out! There's this one spot on my right side just below my ribs where she's been jabbing a foot or an elbow (I wish I knew what was what) out so often that I feel like I'm actually bruised!

Prediction: this girl won't even entertain the idea of a swaddle...just like her sister!

I lied. I was pretty dead set on "no more maternity purchases" BUT Macy's was having a really good sale and no joke - I was in desperate need of new maternity leggings. Two pairs, all mine....no regrets.  Two tops also ended up getting in on the purchase. How did that happen?

I'm getting really anxious to meet this little one. The excitement is building as reality is setting in...soon there's going to be four of us. Somehow, once I reached the 30 week mark - it all started to get real. With the excitement comes many other emotions. I can't even stand the thought of Ella no longer being my one and only. It's normal, I know that once I take a look at Baby _____ my love is just going to multiply and not have to be divided. Even knowing that, it's tough, made harder by the fact that I have only ONE week left of summer vacation! We've had a busy summer and now it's almost time to adjust to a whole different type of craziness for a bit before the REAL crazy comes very shortly after that. Lots of changes and adjustments...this is the stuff real life is made of! Scary. Mostly exciting! Bring it.

Looking forward to getting a glimpse of the little Miss at my appointment on Monday. Stay tuned for pics, hopefully we can get a good shot of her pretty profile!
Smooches!!!

30 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

A little late on this bumpdate, there's been a lot going on around here! I've been running around quite a bit with this big old belly of mine! There's definitely a cantaloupe sized baby in there...and if you tell me she's bigger than the average cantaloupe, I wouldn't be surprised. This week, I'm feeling LARGE!
Changes I've noticed:  I'm slowing down and realizing I'm really not able to do the things I think I can do. I've been noticing this for a while actually, but for some reason this is the week that I had the reality check and realized that I really need to take it a bit easier. I've been taking advantage and sitting whenever possible, and really making more of an effort not to pick Ella up as much as I can. She's getting older and more independent so luckily she's been able to do things like climb up into her booster seat, and get in and out of the tub on her own. She's even been able to climb up into her carseat although sometimes needs a little boost. I've been asking her to "do it like a big girl" a lot more lately, and when someone else is around I've been asking for assistance (although I'm so impatient, this is not easy for me). Sometimes it's unavoidable but I've been feeling lots of stretching and pulling when I pick her up, and I know I really shouldn't be lifting anyway.

How I've been feeling:  Very sore and achey but powering through! I've also been feeling like my belly has gotten very big this week! Maybe it's just how she's positioned but I feel like she's poking out much more than last week!

How I've been sleeping: Our days have been jam-packed! There are no issues falling asleep, but I've been going to sleep late just to wind down a bit from our busy days! This past week I've been able to sleep on my side and wake up in the same position....success!

Food and exercise:  Some strength training here and there, and a bit of yoga is the extent of it. I'm going to count all of the running around and helping my parents with unpacking as a workout though! My goodness, staying on track with nutrition has been tough since my meals weren't planned out this week. We did a lot of winging it, and ended up eating out a bit more than usual because in addition to all of the moving that went on...my brother was in town so there was a little entertaining. This upcoming week will definitely be better because I'll be back on a little bit more of a routine (there's really been no routine this summer), I'll plan out my meals, and since I'm feeling so HUGE I've been more motivated to drink my shakes and load up on healthier fruits and veggies whenever possible!

Maternity clothes:  Nothing new, still rocking the usual shorts and leggings! I've got a romper that is at end of life...but it's been comfortable. I may be able to get another week or two out of it!

Movement:  Baby is still getting her moves on around 7:00, she's been very consistent!

Best moment this past week: Oh my goodness...so many! My mom is finally here, and my parents have closed and moved into their new house! I thought it was pretty great this morning when we went over to watch Zootopia. Stephen, Ella and I were all snuggled up on their couch, it was exactly how I pictured it would be. Ella was so excited to be there, it was adorable! Looking forward to making many more memories with the girls at Grandma and Grandpa's new house! So happy they are here!
This was at my house last week when my mom finally got to Florida! Three very happy faces! XO
Also, the other night it was fun goofing off in the new house with my brother...just like old times!

29 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

It sure is HOT to be hauling this pineapple all over! We're staying cool when we can, but WOW I don't remember the heat bothering me as much last time!
Changes I've noticed:  I've noticed some stretch marks on my hips and thighs but honestly they may be old ones from my many weight fluctuations! They don't bother me, I've been lubing up with cocoa butter and coconut oil and whatever happens, happens. Speaking of weight, I've gained 23 pounds. I think most of it is in my arms!

How I've been feeling:  Hot and easily fatigued! Early in the day I'm okay, but around dinner time...I'm just done! It depends on the day, obviously I tire out faster on the days I'm more active - which is most days! This isn't the lazy/relaxing summer that I was picturing....Ella and I have been on the GO!

How I've been sleeping: We've been having Game of Thrones marathons and going to sleep a little later, but it's been okay. Ella hasn't been waking up until about 7:30-8ish and that is PLENTY of sleep for me! I'm usually up well before her, getting ready for whatever the day holds! I wish I would stay on my side all night long, but I usually have to correct myself the few times I wake up through the night.

Food and exercise:  Ahhhh, I had such a good streak going last week with the exercise and this week...not so much. I've been doing 2-3 short workouts throughout the day...grabbing my weights when I can, dance parties with my girl, and squats while waiting for Ella's mac n' cheese to cook...that sort of thing! It counts, but I'll be getting back to working out with Autumn (Beachbody - Active Maternity -on demand) next week! My chocolate Shakeology is still giving me that extra energy boost I need, and helping with my wacky appetite. I'm basically ALWAYS hungry, but not really in the mood for anything! It's weird. We've had a ton of fruit around since my dad has been here...lots of melon, and lots of berries! We've also been doing quite a bit of grilling and our meals have been accompanied by fresh veggies too! I did have a few week moments with microwave popcorn and iced decaf Dunkin Donuts coffee! It happens. Moving on!

Maternity clothes:  I have two options when getting ready in the morning....leggings or shorts. It's pretty nice, not going to lie! Trying to stay comfy is the key to keeping as cool as possible!

Movement:  This peanut is downright violent sometimes....it's like "why are you being so rough in there, chil"!?! The activity usually gets going around 7:00 in the evening and sometimes keeps me from falling asleep quickly. I don't mind though!

Best moment this past week: Hubby kept me company for my 3-hour glucose test ...which wastn't exactly the "best" moment"...but it was pretty awesome when I found out this morning that my results were normal! This is where one of those iced coffees came into play!

28 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

Baby is the size of a coconut or a roller blade! Interesting stuff!
Changes I've noticed:  Veins guys. VEINS! All over! It's not that I've just suddenly noticed them. I've just recently noticed how horrifyingly prominent they are. Surely they will chill out when Baby Girl gets here. I hope!

How I've been feeling:  Emotional! On a normal day, I'm a fairly emotional person. With all of the devastating news both in the world and amongst those facing struggles on my social media feeds...and all of the the extra time I've had to take it all in...the emotions are catching up to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm usually REALLY good at filtering it all and taking it in stride, but these hormones have me on EDGE! Luckily, potty training has been keeping me very occupied so I can't dwell for too long!

How I've been sleeping: Sleep hasn't been a priority for me...my schedule is that there is no schedule. I'm going to have to make more of an effort to get my beauty rest in! There are no issues falling asleep, I'm just a night owl. I think it also has to do with the fact that it's the only time when I feel like I have "me time". Besides nap time of course!

Food and exercise:  I feel SO MUCH BETTER! Since being on summer vacay, I've been consistently doing my Beachbody workouts, stretching, using weights, squats, all of it! I don't think I've lost weight, but I'm thinking I haven't gained any either. Stepping on the scale is no longer part of my routine so I guess I don't really know for sure. It's like the bloating is leveling out finally. I've been eating much better (excluding last night's bowl of ice cream and the fried appetizers at Applebees on Wednesday) and consistently drinking my Shakeology. Despite my overall improvement in food choices....I failed my glucose tolerance test. Ugh, this happened with Ella too. Hopefully I pass the three hour test on Monday and it's a non-issue again.

Maternity clothes:  I haven't bought anything new. In fact, I've given up on it for two reasons....
1. Besides Target, there's not really anywhere around me that sells maternity clothes. I'm WAY too lazy to order online and then wait for it. I'm an instant gratification kind of gal. If I can't have it now, the moment eventually passes (sometimes...I know my husband may disagree with this).
2. It's expensive and if I look hard enough, I can find things that are not maternity that fit! Challenge accepted. I did find some shorts that I plan to wear the hell out of.

Movement:  At my appointment on Monday, I just happened to mention that I've been feeling baby a little less than usual for the past few days. I wasn't concerned that something was wrong, just brought it up casually in conversation and expected that my doc would tell me it's normal to notice a little bit of a difference at this point. Although she did say these things, she wanted me to go straight to the hospital for a non-stress test just to check on the peanut. Of course this is when Baby Girl started to move around like her typical crazy self...and I went through the motions to be sure anyway. All checked out fine! At no point was i actually worried, but it was good to hear her heartbeat and monitor all of her acrobatics for the morning.
Best moment this past week: Ella came home from school with a beautiful "Big Sister Ella" shirt from her sweet teachers....and a matching onesie for "Little Sister ______". I'm not ready to share her name on here yet, but OMG it was so cute. Ella was SO excited about it too! She really "gets" that she is going to be a big sis...and soon!

27 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

My little "chiquita" is the size of a bunch of bananas....see what I did there.
Changes I've noticed:  This dry little patch on my left cheek has been going strong for over 2 weeks now, and I finally feel like it's clearing up now that I've switched from using eczema cream, to hydro-cortisone cream.

How I've been feeling:  My legs are still very sore and VERY easily prone to cramping and muscle pulls. I think I'm stretching enough and drinking enough water. Obviously I'm very wrong and wrong! More stretching and more water....got it. I'm going to check with my doctor on Monday to see if she has any other suggestions. We're getting into the real hot/humid season and it's doing a number on me. I'm just trying to stay cool and take it easy. I don't remember it bothering me too much first time around. Then again, I wasn't handling a 2 year old at the time...I also was 3 years younger.

How I've been sleeping: Before bed, we've been cranking through some Bob Ross videos on Netflix...and it's just so riveting that I've been a bit of a night owl. This adds to my exhaustion during the day, so I should probably lay off the painting shows!

Food and exercise:  YES! I've gotten a few REALLY good workouts in this week! My June challenge group is just what I needed for a boost of motivation. My favorite is Autumn's Active Maternity workout videos on Beachbody on Demand! I did this quite a bit in my first trimester, but haven't been consistent with it so far during the second. It feels good to get back into it (and to do something other than yoga), and I'm looking forward to starting the third trimester video next week! I've been doing well with my breakfast and lunch choices, and as far as dinner I've been better about not eating until I'm completely stuffed! I've also been laying off the sugar. I should find out ANY day how my glucose test went on Monday!

Maternity clothes:  Shorts, shorts and more shorts! This is definitely different from last time....obviously I'm not handling the heat well because it's so not like me to not LIVE in leggings!

Movement:  This one was supposed to be my "quiet one"...and I'm not so sure that's going to happen! See for yourself! #shecrazy
Best moment this past week: That post-workout high! LOVE the feeling of accomplishment when I finished my workouts from beginning to end....lots of times I only do half and say I'm going to save the rest for later (which often doesn't happen).

26 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

This wild little girl is growing! She's the size of a butternut squash or a bowling pin!
Changes I've noticed:  My legs are killing me....probably because of two days walking around the Magic Kingdom. Soooooo, let's try this again....changes I've noticed....I can no longer handle walking around theme parks. Noted.

How I've been feeling:  Sore and still recovering from a very exhausting (but incredibly fun) Disney trip. Summer vacation JUST started, so let the relaxation begin! I have a lot of catching up to do!

How I've been sleeping: I've been sleeping just fine, but waking up REALLY early! I imagine this will change as I adjust to a summer schedule and start going to sleep a little later.

Food and exercise:  My challenge group started and I am MOTIVATED! Since coming home from our trip, my food choices have been on point. There was one meal where I went out to an amazing restaurant with co-workers and had "ultimate grilled cheese"! We will just count that as my cheat meal for the week because there was no way I was passing up such a thing. I've also been doing lots of stretching and yoga which has helped with all the aches.

Maternity clothes:  It's hot! I'm swapping out my leggings for running shorts (not maternity, but they fit for now)....bring on the heat, Florida!

Movement:  Baby Girl has eased up on kicking me in the ribs this week, but she is kicking me everywhere else. She is so strong, it makes me jump quite often. The minute I start to settle in for the night, she starts going bananas!

Best moment this past week: Spending my first day of summer vacation with my sweet Ella Rose! I'm going to cherish every moment we have "just the two of us"!

25 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

Just like last time, the photos tend to get more awkward as things progress. This week, I was going for a delighted/surprised expression. Nailed it.

It has already been 25 weeks!? Baby Girl is the size of a baseball glove, or a prairie dog. It's weird to think she will be here in 15 weeks (ish)....to me, that sounds soon! Now that I'm almost on summer vacation, I feel like I'm in the homestretch. I remember how with Ella, things went by like a blur once I got to summer vacay!
Changes I've noticed:  I HAVE to stretch really well AND drink more water, especially before bed or else...charlie horses! Ahh, lesson learned two nights ago. I'm still limping. I've also got a dry skin patch (my mom diagnosed me with eczema) on my left cheek. It looks kind of like a big pimple. I do randomly get these dry patches every so often (once on my leg and once on my eyelid that I can remember), so I don't know that it's pregnancy-related. I've been using a cream on it, it's not helping but it's also not getting worse. Any eczema creams you swear by, please let me know!

How I've been feeling:  Exhausted. I'm tired of even saying it. It almost goes without say! Did I mention summer is coming? Hopefully then I won't feel so fatigued 24/7!

How I've been sleeping: I woke up quite a bit through the night this past week. I'm able to fall right back to sleep so it's not a big deal. Last night I got over 10 hours of sleep. It was weird, but much needed!

Food and exercise:  This week hasn't been AS good as last week. No students at work always equals going out for lunch. Next week I'll start summer vacation AND my new challenge group....so, MAJOR changes are coming! I haven't been snacking at night, and I've been laying off the sugar! For exercise I've been sticking with yoga and lots of stretching (except for the night before the charlie horse from hell).

Maternity clothes:  Non-maternity clothes that I expect to fit me...do not! It's not even worth trying them on anymore.

Movement:  Baby is still hanging out and poking me by my ribs. She also likes to stretch out a lot so I feel her in two spots, such a weird feeling!

Best moment this past week:  Things like this...
Also, Ella shoving an M&M in my belly button (what's left of it) and saying that she wanted to "share her special treat with Baby". Too cute, these are the things I want to remember!

Whoa....this is the first time I'm looking back and really noticing a major difference in how much BIGGER I am this time around!

Hubby just said "maybe it's the angle"....love that man.

24 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

Twenty FOUR! Baby is the size of something slightly larger than she was last week. My phone is plugged into the wall, and getting up right now to check my app is not an option. More on that later....
Changes I've noticed:  Were those stretch marks on my thighs always there? Maybe they're new....maybe I need a tan? Not pregnancy related....but check out that mani!

How I've been feeling:  Just okay. I haven't been feeling great, but not horrible either. I'm in the home stretch as far as this school year being over...I can't totally blame my total exhaustion on growing this tiny human although it's certainly a factor. Ella has been really testing us lately too... this weekend I hope to get my mind right and rest up because I have been a little irritable, not going to lie! Oh right, getting up and down....bending over....it's all awful!

How I've been sleeping:  I've been having some bizarre dreams! I forgot about this lovely feature of pregnancy. VERY weird!

Food and exercise:  Yippee, this has been a good week! I've been planning my meals a little better and providing myself better options for during the work day! I've also cut out my nightly iced tea...although now that I'm talking about it - I SO want one! I went a few days without stretching and definitely noticed the difference! I didn't need to be reminded of the importance, but I've been better about it the last few days! On May 30th, I'm getting back to business and coaching a challenge group! I've been out of the swing of things for a while now! With summer coming, I'm ready to commit to really make those changes on a more consistent basis! (If you're interested in joining the fun, let me know!)

Maternity clothes:  As much as I want to buy more work clothes (I'm getting sick of mixing up the same old stuff)...it's almost summer, and I should focus on maybe stocking up on a few more things for the horrible heat and humidity! I've been getting a taste of what's to come, it's not pleasant!

Movement:  She's been hanging out near my ribs on my right side a lot lately. It must be cozy over there!

Best moment this past week:   Ella referring to her Sissy by name...it's just adorable and makes it seem so much more REAL! Ella talks about her a lot actually!

Also, seeing Ella bonding with her Daddy is the best! The thought that soon there will be TWO little faces for him to look at like this....ahhhh I just can't handle it! Too sweet!

23 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

It's week #23 and I'm still uncomfortable, but hanging in there! Our little one is the size of a bunch of grapes, or a chinchilla! Fun fact!
Changes I've noticed:  My belly button is really flattening out. That's so gross, it makes me gag. I finally built up the courage to step on my scale at home. I've gained 17 pounds. My Ovia app tells me that this is the point where Baby and I are going to start packing on the pounds! News flash.... I've gotten a jump start. After I post this, I'm going to work on some squats!

How I've been feeling:  I've been very sore lately. I think it's from the "exercising" I've been doing. I'm not sure I can use that term considering it is the most minimal form of exercise. Regardless, I'm feeling it in the morning!

How I've been sleeping:  It seems like this past week I've been able to fall asleep a little earlier than usual. This end of the school-year business is knocking me out around 10:30, which is early for me! I've been sleeping pretty well, no complaints really.

Food and exercise:  I'm back to being STARVING during the day and so full by dinner that I could do without it (I usually don't but my appetite is nowhere near how it is during the day). After I put Ella to sleep I've been seriously craving sweets, which is SO odd for me! My way of indulging is with a giant glass of 4C iced tea...which is sooooo bad I'm sure. The glucose test is coming up, I need to lay off all the sugar! Exercise is still stretching....lots of down dog....trying to work off the arm jiggle with my 6 lb. weights. Not much, but better than nothing.

Maternity clothes:  Mal made an H&M order, I think I need to follow her lead! Seriously, where are all my leggings? Perhaps I should clean my bedroom before I go ordering stuff. Is there really such a thing as too many leggings though?

Movement:  All day. Errr day.
Best moment this past week:   On Tuesday I had an appointment for another ultrasound. Last time, they weren't able to see everything they needed. The princess cooperated this time and we were able to see her sweet face again! A bonus peek! I had to take a half-day off of work, so Hubs and I had some quality time together and had a lunch date. Afterwards I went on a little Old Navy shopping spree and got a bunch of  bloomers for our girl. Believe it or not, I haven't bought anything for her yet! She has plenty of hand-me-downs from Big Sis of course, but she needs some special goodies of her own!

22 Week Bumpdate #BabySkoDos

Only twenty two weeks? That about sums up how I'm feeling this week! I know I talked about this last week, but my stomach is getting so big, I simply don't have enough skin!!! How does one fix this situation! For some reason, I don't remember this being as much of an issue during round #1!
Changes I've noticed:  I'm feeling large. I still have a long way to go, I'm concerned! Obviously the main thing is that my tummy is growing at such a fast pace and my skin hasn't gotten the memo to keep up. "Jeans Day" at work is not nearly as exciting as it once was, and now when I put on my pants I step in by putting my knees out to the side instead of forward. Do you have a visual? Also, bending down is something I strive to avoid.

How I've been feeling:  None of the above "changes I've noticed" are all that comfortable, so let's just highlight this section with UNCOMFORTABLE!

How I've been sleeping:  It's been difficult to fall asleep with all the kicking. She gets me on my sides in such a way that it actually tickles! Once I'm asleep though, I usually sleep through most of the night without too much tossing and turning.

Food and exercise:  It's amazing how much it helps to stretch daily! I've been making an effort to do this in the morning and right before bed. Yoga really is my favorite! It was teacher appreciation week at work which didn't help especially on "bagel day"! Otherwise, my dinner choices and portions have been on point!

Maternity clothes:  I've been breaking out those maternity shorts from my storage bin! I have three pairs (jeans, khaki and black) from Ella....I think maybe the collection could use one or two more! The summer is a little hot for leggings 24/7, so they will need to be super comfortable!

Movement:  It seems like she is active ALL day, but it's obviously most noticeable at night! This is one very strong girl!

Best moment this past week:   Every time Ella does this....and it actually happens quite a bit without being prompted, I love all the affection for Sissy!
So sweet...and check out those shoes!
Sorry if it seems like a lot of complaining this week, just being honest! Besides the discomfort....I'm feeling fabulous!
