The Easiest, Most Delicious Pulled Pork EVER!

At work a few weeks ago, we had a picnic to raise money for Relay For Life.  We were able to purchase these yummy pulled pork BBQ lunches that were prepared by my co-workers Rhonda, Tammy, and Tammy's mother too!  O.M.G.  DELISH!  Immediately I put it in my head that I am going to get my hands on their "top secret recipe" and convince them to let me put it on my blog.  Yes, this is how my mind works these days!  Well imagine my surprise when I found out just how simple this recipe really is.  I kept asking them... "that's it"...."are you sure there are no other ingredients"?  SUPER easy...I will never use the seasoning packet for pulled pork ever again!

Ingredients:
Pork - Boston Butt
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
BBQ Sauce - they recommend Sonny's Sweet BBQ sauce, if you can't find it then use whatever your favorite is (I also like Sweet Baby Rays)

Directions:
1.  Sprinkle meat generously with salt, pepper, and a little garlic powder.
2.  Place in crock pot, cook on low for 10 hours.
3.  Take out, let cool a little - shred with a fork. I put it back into the crock pot (after draining all the fat), with about 3/4 cup of BBQ sauce.

It's that easy, I know I didn't believe it at first either!!!!

  4. Hey Steph! So I made something like this the other night that was delicious. Thought I'd share since you might like to try it! I used : 2 lbs boneless pork tenderloins, trimmed; 1 small diced onion; 2 crushed garlic cloves; 1 tbsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, and 1 cup taco sauce (I used 1/2 Del Paso and 1/2 Pace Picante sauce). Mix together in slow cooker, cook on high for 6 hours. We made tacos - delicious!! I'm def gonna try this recipe of your next - I love BBQ sauce and this version sounds great too :)
